Why do you do this?

Thanks for asking.  It’s actually quite simple.  We believe in a man named Jesus.  We believe that he was and is the son of the maker and creator of everything.  We believe He was crucified for our transgressions and when all thought it was over He rose from the tomb conquering death and everything else in His path.  And although He’s mighty and powerful, He’s also personal and the perfect representation of LOVE.  We do what we do because He did what He did.  Bike Raising is a human’s effort to love as He loves us.  We love cycling, we love freedom, we love feeling strong, we love laughter, we love to be a part of lives escaping darkness.

Who are you doing this for?

Well I hope you’re not disappointed when I tell you that we don’t do this for you.  Instead we hope you are filled with joy that it isn’t.  We do this for the young woman trapped in a life of sexual exploitation because she has no other way of eating.  We do this for the communities that don’t have a source of clean drinking water.  We do this for kids who don’t have schools and books.  We do this for forgotten people in the lost places around the world.

How do I connect with my donation?

At every Bike Raising event there will be a designated location with information on where your donation is going.  We encourage all our athletes to sign up for our monthly newsletter The Rivet as well as checking our website.

Are you a registered 501(c) 3?

Yes.  We are a 501c3 charitable non-profit organization registered in the state of Georgia.

Why do I need to go through Bike Raising in order to give?

You don’t!  At the top of our homepage you will see a tab that says Partners.  Click on this link and you’ll find links to all our partner organizations, all of which have means to donate on their web-sites.

Who designed your website?

We enlisted a gentleman named Wayne from time4design.  He’s great at what he does and very knowledgeable about the web industry.  He can answer any question you throw his way.  Check out his website www.time4design.com
